Mobile Connections brings together the mobile development market— developers, IT managers supporting mobile development environments, and application providers —to network, acquire new skills across platforms, and learn about resources from network carriers, infrastructure service providers, and other vendors supporting mobile development.
The conference will held April 17 to 21, 2011, at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and will be collocated with Cloud Connections, which explores cloud computing services and products, and Virtualization Connections, which will explore ROI and deep-dive implementation of virtualized environments.
- Mobile developers for iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone
- Developers getting started with mobile applications
- IT managers and professionals
- CTOs, CIOs, or CEOs
We are looking for sessions that help developers master the technical skills they need to compete in the mobile app space, help mobile developers get started and deepen their current skills, help mobile developers extend their skills to other platforms, train mobile developers to create cross-platform solutions, and educate IT managers and development managers to understand the business climate for mobile apps.
We are looking for breakout sessions of 60 minutes in the following areas:
- iOS development
- Android development
- Windows Phone 7 development
- Blackberry development
- Cross-platform development
- mobile platform management
- Choosing a mobile platform
- Supporting the mobile development environment
- Developing an enterprise mobility strategy
Suggestions for additional topics are welcome. Because mobile development and cloud are so closely tied as application and backend, presentations that include cloud considerations are a plus.
We are also interested in proposals for deep-dive pre-conference and post-conferences workshops (either half day or full day) on the following topics:
- Boot Camp for iOS
- Boot Camp for Android
- Boot Camp for Blackberry
- Boot Camp for Windows Phone 7

Every speaker is expected to present at least three breakout sessions at the show. Please submit titles and abstracts and include a biographical statement with your proposals to Amy Eisenberg, Executive Editor, IT/Dev Group, Penton Media: [email protected].
We are accepting proposals through December 1. Final selections will be made in December.
