Why do I get an error message when I try to run SQL 7 EM - "MMC - Snap-in failed to initialize"?

A. It could be that one or more dll's has not been registered. Try :-

C:\> regsvr32 <sqldir>\BINN\dtsui.dll
C:\> regsvr32 <sqldir>\BINN\sqldmo.dll
C:\> regsvr32 <sqldir>\BINN\sqlns.dll
C:\> regsvr32 <sqldir>\BINN\sqllex.dll
