TechEd 2006 is underway

I'm looking forward to catching up with many of my colleagues and friends here at TechEd 2006.  It's funny how I only get to see other people from SQLMag usually at TechEd or the PASS Summit .  These trips are never relaxing though.  There's simply too much to do.  For a taste of what I mean, take a look at my calendar for the week.

This year, I'm not doing any session speaking but I am leading a Birds of a Feather (BoF) session on Tuesday evening for Database Administration & Automation Best Practices.  That should be a lot of fun.  BoF sessions are much more relaxed than a regular session.  There are no slides, but there is pizza!  The idea is to simply share ideas, issues, and solutions with your peers and find out how they handle similar situations.

I'll be spending a lot of time in the exhibit hall in one of three places: the SQL Server cabana, the PASS booth, and the Quest Software booth (my employer).  I'll also be at the O'Reilly booth signing books on Tuesday.  Maybe I'll be able to see you at one of these locations over the next few days?

Cheers!
