TechEd 2005 - Day Five

I spent Thursday afternoon at the O’Reilly Media booth for an ‘ask the authors’ session discussing my book ‘SQL in a Nutshell’.  (You can read more about it at    http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/sqlnut2/index.html).  It was a lot of fun hanging out with the staff of O’Reilly like Glenn Bisignani.

Friday was definitely a more subdued day.  The majority of vendors and marketing-types had left because the exhibit hall had closed on Thursday afternoon.  I’ve also noticed a palpable sense of brain-overload among many of the attendees.  Strong educational evens like TechEd and PASS present huge amounts of high-quality content that can certainly tax the brain.  A full week of classes and sessions such as that will leave you feeling very tuckered out!

Now, it’s time for me to prepare to the next event.  In one short week, I’ll be on my way to the DevTeach event in Montreal.  Read more about it at http://www.devteach.com
