Panorama Necto Optimized for Window-Based Tablets

Panorama Software announced that its SQL Server business intelligence (BI) 3.0 solution, Panorama Necto, is now available on Windows-based tablet PCs. Tablet users can access the full capabilities of Necto, which connects people, insights, and data for real-time trend analysis. "Our Necto BI 3.0 solution greatly shortens the gap between the availability of data and time to actionable insight. Deployment on the tablet allows faster and more informed decision making, which will allow businesses to thrive in an increasingly competitive and global marketplace," said Eynav Azarya, CEO of Panorama Software.

CA Technologies Announces ERwin Data Modeler for SQL Azure

CA Technologies announced CA ERwin Data Modeler for SQL Azure, a new solution that helps users manage and integrate their database infrastructure with Microsoft's SQL Azure. CA ERwin provides users with the following functionalities:

  • Ability to create an inventory of data assets, including cloud and on-premises databases, using a single visual interface
  • Migration capabilities from on-premises databases to cloud-based databases
  • Ability to maintain cloud-based databases using a desktop data modeling paradigm

Tific Version 8.0 Now Supports SQL Server

PlumChoice has announced that Tific Version 8.0 now provides support for Microsoft SQL Server. The new product release supports the broadest set of underlying database and customer relationship management (CRM) systems through SQL Server. "Microsoft's SQL Server provides us with a robust and efficient database server platform for delivering our software as a service (SaaS) automation platform," said Ted Werth, chief executive officer of PlumChoice.

Melissa Data Announces SmartMover Component

Melissa Data has announced its SmartMover Component for Microsoft's SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The new component lets users update US and Canadian customer records with updated addresses. "SmartMover helps businesses stay in contact with their moving customers, while reducing wasted time, money, and postage on undeliverable-as-addressed mail," said Greg Brown, director of marketing for Melissa Data.

Werysoft Releases New Version of QweryBuilder

Werysoft has released the latest version of its database development and SQL query tool, QweryBuilder. The tool is designed to work with SQL Server, ASE, SQL Anywhere, and Oracle databases. With QweryBuilder, a user can extract and update data without writing any SQL code. In addition, developers can create queries, procedures, tables, views, and triggers with fewer keystrokes. Idera Releases SQL compliance manager 3.5

Idera has announced the availability of the latest version of its auditing solution, SQL compliance manager 3.5. The solution audits all activity performed on SQL Server data and provides real-time auditing of all data access. New features in SQL compliance manager 3.5 include:

  • Sensitive column auditing: Users can track individuals who have accessed information in sensitive columns in audited tables.
  • Transaction status auditing: Users can audit the status of any transaction that executes data manipulation language (DML) statements on an audited database.

SQL compliance manager 3.5 is priced at $2,995 per instance.
