Internet search giant Google is reportedly working on extending its lucrative Web-based advertising to email and will soon launch an email service. Google's email service will likely be Web-based and include sponsored links similar to those on Google.com and many other Web sites. Google, of course, faces serious competition from companies such as Microsoft and Yahoo!, both of which already offer sophisticated email services and Internet searching.
