Microsoft has offered the official YouTube app on Windows Phone for a few years now, but it was really just an app wrapper to Google’s online video site. The new version, issued this week for Windows Phone 8, is another thing entirely: A beautiful and native Metro experience that’s been completely rewritten.
Well, it shows. YouTube for Windows Phone 8 not only looks great, it works great too, and integrates nicely with your Google account and any subscriptions you may have.
And … well, heck. It’s YouTube, and it’s free. Here are a bunch of shots to check out while you download it.
