Windows Aero on Windows Server 2008

Q. I installed the Desktop Experience Feature on my Windows Server 2008 machine and enabled the Themes service, with Longhorn server but I still don't get Windows Aero. What's the problem?

A. Once the Desktop Experience feature is installed and the Themes service enabled the Windows Aero interface should be available, assuming your hardware meets the requirements. However, you'll likely find the full 3D drivers are not included as part of Windows 2008, even though they're part of Windows Vista. To work around this problem, install the Vista driver for your graphics card on your Windows 2008 machine, and all the joys of Aero should then be available to you.
