A. Some menus have underlines under certain letters which are their "Hot" keys, e.g. Alt - F for File. The some applications don't show these underlines until Alt is pressed. If you don't wish to press Alt to see them you can disable the hiding of the keyboard navigation indicators as follows:
- Right click on the desktop and select Properties
- Select the Effects tab
- Unselect 'Hide keyboard navigation indicators until I use the Alt key'
