If you live outside of the United States, Canada or Japan, and have been waiting to get your hands on a Surface Pro 3, the wait is almost over: Microsoft announced today that its new tablet will ship in 25 additional markets around the world in about three weeks, on August 28. And Surface Pro 3 will launch in all Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 configurations on that day in those markets.
"People take pride in the devices they buy," Microsoft corporate vice president Panos Panay says. "The beauty of Surface today is that we've been able to listen to so much customer feedback, and what they want and what they need. They want a full-powered PC that can act like a tablet they need it. The trade-off had to be, it had to be thin enough. It had to be light enough. It had to feel like a tablet. But more important, it had to work like the PC that I need."

Microsoft notes that all five Surface Pro 3 models will become available on that day in those markets and can be purchased from the Microsoft Store, Surface retail partners (which vary from country to country; Best Buy in the USA), and authorized device resellers (again, country-specific). But you can also preorder Surface Pro 3 starting today in all of those countries except for China, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan.
And don't forget that the Surface Pro 3 Docking Station will be available in the US on August 15 and in the other Surface Pro 3 markets by the end of September. My review of the Docking Station will be available by its US availability.
