Remote Application Visibility when Launched via PowerShell

Q: I'm using PowerShell to launch an application on a remote machine, but the application isn't visible on the remote machine; why?

A: PowerShell can integrate with WinRM to execute commands on remote machines (e.g., by using Invoke-Command). Behind the scenes, WinRM launches a non-interactive process on the remote machine (WSMProvHost.exe) to execute the command. This process is non-interactive, which means anything executed won't be visible on the remote machine. For example, if you remotely start notepad.exe on a remote machine, you won't see Notepad displayed anywhere.
