A. Hot-track (also known as color hot-track) is a visual treat in Windows 7. When you move the mouse over applications in the Taskbar that are open, the glass pane that surrounds the application icon glows with the most dominant color of the icon. This glow follows the mouse as it moves over the icon and the icon hot-track remains when the mouse hovers over an application thumbnail. An example is shown here.
