Q. Is there a good tool to force a machine to have certain types of problems for testing purposes?

A. You know an OS is going well when people need utilities to create problems Laughing. The SysInternals site has a great tool called NotMyFault that gives you an easy way to generate certain types of faults within Windows. This isn't emulating the problem—it's actually creating it, so don't try running this on production systems. It's for testing and developing only.
