Q: Just how tough are the "rugged" Windows PCs?

A. One of the great advantages Windows users have over users of non-Windows OSs is the range of hardware available that runs the Windows OS.  One group of hardware that runs Windows is the “rugged” line of extra tough and durable machines.

Microsoft has released a great video that shows some of these ruggedized machines being buried in sand, thrown around like a basketball, drenched in water and covered in bleach—and they still work afterwards. We are assured no PCs were harmed in the making of the video, but it’s pretty cool to watch, and for organizations that need tough computers, it really shows what's available.
