Q. How do I get WIM information using the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool?

A. Once you've installed the Windows Automated Installation Kit on your machine, you can use DISM to get information with its /get-wiminfo switch, as shown here.

C:\>dism /get-wiminfo /wimfile:"d:\OS Images\Windows 7 Ult 64-bit\sources\install.wim"
