Released just a year ago, MOM 2005 is an important component of Microsoft's Dynamic Systems Initiative (DSI). The product's improved and customizable Performance view lets you select and graph performance metrics for a particular computer. A details window provides more information about each graphed performance counter. MOM 2005 is much more than a performance tool, however. It also lets you gather information about, resolve alerts for, diagnose, and run tasks against managed computers in an enterprise. MOM 2005 Workgroup Edition is designed especially for midsized businesses.
