Just a quick note to thank Nokia for picking the SuperSite for Windows as its Blog Star of the Week. It's an honor to be noticed in this fashion.
Here's a bit from their write-up.
Blog Star of the Week: itprotoday.com
"Windows Supersite is so massive (both in volume and in the range of Windows stuff covered) that it's a challenge to pick what to highlight here – especially given that it's all the work of one man ... With several in depth articles published every day, there can be a lot of content to digest on Windows Supersite – but Paul's weekly Short Takes column and two podcasts (one on Windows, the other on technology in general) are a great way to get to grips with the latest developments."
"Paul describes Paul Thurrott's Windows Phone 8 as his 'gift to the Windows Phone community' and it's quite some gift. In short, it contains pretty much everything you need to know as a user about Windows Phone. It's full of overviews, explanations, tutorials and quick fixes – and plenty of information on Nokia specific use."
So, I guess I'll just add that it's always weird when the hunter becomes the hunted. I write a lot about Microsoft, Nokia, and other companies, and about Windows, Windows Phone and other technologies and products But I don't often read anything about myself, and it's a bit weird to do so.
But again, thanks.
By the way, I don't usually pat myself on the back, but I did also win the 2013 Jesse H. Neal Award for Best Blog this year. In some ways, being recognized by Nokia is just as meaningful. I'm obviously a fan of their work as well.
