If you have been holding off on making the move from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One because of your current Xbox 360 library then the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program is building up a lot of reason to go ahead and make the leap.
Last month when the Xbox One received its own version of Windows 10 a new library of Xbox 360 games that were backwards compatible with the Xbox One was announced with over 100 titles available.
The plan is that each month that library will have new titles added to it but there is not set schedule on when those titles will be announced or how many wil be on the list each month.
The first installment of new titles have arrived today as announced by Xbox Live's Major Nelson, aka Larry Hryb, and they include several Xbox 360 arcade titles plus Halo: Reach and Fable III.

- Deus Ex: Human Revolution by Square Enix
- Doritos Crash Course by Microsoft Studios
- Fable III by Microsoft Game Studios
- Halo: Reach by Microsoft Game Studios
- Hydro Thunder by Microsoft Studios
- Iron Brigade by Microsoft Studios
- Kane & Lynch 2 by Square Enix Ltd
- Motocross Madness by Microsoft Studios
- Ms. Pac Man by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc
- Peggle by PopCap Games Inc
- Portal: Still Alive by Microsoft Studios
- Spelunky by Microsoft Studios
- Splosion Man by Microsoft Studios
- Ticket to Ride by Microsoft Studios
- Zuma's Revenge by PopCap Games
If you currently own these titles on physical disks just insert the disk into your Xbox One and the title will be downloaded to your console.
If you have previously purchased the game digitally then it will be shown on your Xbox One console under the Pending Install list.
The key thing to understand about what titles gain backwards compatibility is that the publisher must give Microsoft the green light to make it happen. This is likely why we are seeing so many initial titles on this list from Microsoft themselves since they just give themselves permission to go ahead.

Pro Tip #1: All of these games can take advantage of new Windows 10 based gaming features such as streaming from your Xbox One console to your Windows 10 based PC or tablet.
Pro Tip #2: If you are an Xbox Live Gold subscriber then every Xbox 360 game that is offered under that program is also Xbox One compatible and makes for an easy way to grow your digital game library.
