JSI Tip 9710. How can I get the Group Policy Editor to show the setting options of my custom Administrative Templates?

If you create and import a custom Administrative Template, the Group Policy Editor doesn't display your setting options.

By default, the Group Policy Editor hides your custom administrative policy settings because the Only show policy settings that can be fully managed box on the Filtering dialog is checked:

To open the Filtering dialog:

1. Select Administrative Templates in your policy or a folder under Administrative Templates.

2. On the View menu, Filtering becomes visible.

3. Press Filtering to open the Filtering dialog.

4. Uncheck the Only show policy settings that can be fully managed box and press OK.

NOTE: If you wish to hide settings that are NOT configured, check the Only show configured policy settings box.

NOTE: If you check the Filter by Requirements information box, you can select the categories that you want to be visible.
