JSI Tip 8128. Your computer stops responding if your ULi ATAPI controller is waiting for I/O to a bad disk sector to complete?

If Windows sends a new command to your ULi ATAPI controller that is waiting for I/O to a bad disk sector to finish, your computer will hang.

To resolve this problem:

1. Copy / Paste the following into Notepad, and save it as TimeOutValue.REG:

REGEDIT4

\[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Disk\]
"TimeOutValue"=-

2. Right-click the TimeOutValue.REG file and press Merge, or run regedit /s TimeOutValue.REG.

3. Shutdown and restart your computer.
