JSI Tip 5698. Poor Video playback performance in Windows Media Player and Windows Movie Maker?

You may experience poor video playback performance in Windows Media Player for Windows XP, Windows Media Play 7.x, and Windows Movie Maker.

If your computer is using an off-branded CPU, like the Transmeta Crusoe CPU, the above applications cannot determine if the off-branded CPU can run optimized decoding code. Hence, they do NOT use optimized decoding code, resulting in poor video playback performance.
