When you upgrade from W9x, some short file names may be changed?
When you upgrade, files are moved from the Windows\System folder to the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder. When long file names are moved, their associated 8.3 short names may be changed, depending on the order in which they were moved.
Example
The Flying Windows.scr and Flying Through Space.scr files have Flying~1.scr and Flying~2.scr short names. After the upgrade, these two file names are reversed.
