JSI Tip 5101. 'Save Target As' for a link in Internet Explorer 6.0 generates an error?

When you right-click a link in Internet Explorer 6.0 and press Save Target As, you receive an error:

Internet Explorer cannot download <Filename.ext> from <ComputerName>.
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet Site.
The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.
Please Try again.

If the link is to a resource hosted on another server and that server requires a secure (SSL) connection, you will receive this error if you HAVE NOT been previously authenticated in the current session.

To workaround this problem, visit the link to get authenticated, and then right-click it and press Save Target As.
