JSI Tip 4594. You see the wrong tasks when you view them on a remote computer?

The proper way to view tasks on a remote computer is:

1. Open My Network Places.

2. Double-click Entire NetworK.

3. Double-click Micorsoft Windows Network.

4. Double-click <Your Domain Name>.

5. Double-click <Remote Computer Name>.

6. Double-click Scheduled Tasks.

If you use view the folder at \\ComputerName\C$\WindowsDirectory\Tasks, it will display the Scheduled Tasks on your local computer?

When you use the above technique, Scheduled Tasks uses the local registry to identify and load the shell extension, resulting in this confusing behavior.

NOTE: See tip 3520.
