JSI Tip 3670. How can I prevent users from deleting Web content from their Active Desktop?

In tip 3669, we prevent users from adding Active Desktop content.

To prevent users from deleting Active Desktop content, enable the Prohibit deleting items Group Policy at User Configuration\AdministrativeTemplates\Desktop\Active Desktop.

If the policy is Not configured, you can enable it by setting the NoDeletingComponents value name, a REG_DWORD data type, to 1, at HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop.
