JSI Tip 2762. IE 5.5 only saves graphics in BMP format on some web sites?

If you accessed the URL using http://username:password@site/default.htm format, instead of http://the_site/default.htm, you will have the subject problem.

The only workaround is to use the http://the_site/default.htm format or to save the file in BMP format and convert it using a graphics editor.
