JSI Tip 2348. How to Create an MS-DOS Network Startup Disk in Windows 2000?

Windows 2000 doesn't have the Network Client Administrator tool that Windows NT 4.0 Server has.

Thankfully, you can run the Network Client Administrator tool from Windows NT 4.0 Server, for the Intel platform, on Windows 2000:

1. Make a new folder called C:\Ncadmin.

2. Copy Ncadmin.cn_, Ncadmin.ex_, and Ncadmin.hl_ from the NT 4.0 Server CD-ROM to C:\Ncadmin.

3. Open a CMD promt and type:

      CD C:\Ncadmin
      expand -r ncadmin.*

4. Create a shortcut to ncadmin.exe.
