JSI Tip 1932. Double-clicking a desktop icon starts two instances of the program?

The subject behavior can be caused by the ClickSaver feature of IntelliPoint AND the single-click feature of Active Desktop.

To fix the problem, either disable ClickSaver or Single-click to open an item (point to select).

To disable ClickSaver:

1. Control Panel / Mouse / StepSavers.

2. Clear the ClickSaver check box.

3. Press OK.

To disable Single-click to open an item (point to select):

1. Start / Settings / Active Desktop / Customize My Desktop / Folder Options / Yes / General tab.

2. Click Custom, based on settings you choose and press Settings.

3. Press Double-click to open an item (single-click to select).

4. Click OK until the dialogue boxes are closed.
