If you receive The data is invalid in Server Manager / Computer / Properties / Replication, on a domain controller, you probably also have:
Event ID: 3216
Source: Replicator:
System error 13 - The data is invalid.
This is generally caused by corrupt registry entries for the Replicator service.
Logon to another domain controller, in the same domain, and use Regedt32 to navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Replicator
Select the Replicator key and on the Registry menu, press Save Key to create a file (Repkey).
On the problem domain controller, use Regedt32 to navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Replicator
Select the Replicator key. On the Registry menu, press Restore and browse to Repkey. You will be warned that you are about to restore over the currently selected key. Make sure it is the Replicator key.
Restart your domain controller.
