The total number of NetBIOS names in the stack can not exceed 255.
A remote client running Windows NT needs up to 7 names.
Therefore, the number of RAS ports should not exceed 36.
On the RAS server, use regedt32 to navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RemoteAccess\Parameters\NetbiosGateway
Double-click the MaxNames value name in the right hand pane and set this REG_DWORD entry to 7. MaxNames is the number of unique NetBIOS names allowed for each client. The default is 255.
NOTE: If your RAS version is 1.1 or earlier, set MaxNames to 8 and limit the RAS
ports to 31.
