After you create a volume set, stripe set without parity, mirror set or stripe set with parity, save the disk configuration information in Disk Administrator.
To allow your alternate install to see these objects, use Disk Administrator to restore the saved configuration.
An alternate install of Windows NT Server can manage the objects created in your primary install, including breaking mirrors and regenerating stripe sets with parity.
An alternate install that uses Windows NT Workstation can manage volume sets and
stripe sets without parity, and can read and write to mirror sets and and stripe sets with parity.
Windows NT Workstation can not break a mirror or regenerate a stripe set with parity.
