In addition to the subject symptoms, you may receive:
Name does not exist.
If you then try Nslookup, the following is displayed:
Cannot find queriedname: Non-existent domain.
A Ping returns:
Bad IP address queriedname.
A WINS query may time out 1 second before the the configured timeout value. To workaround this problem,
increase the WINS lookup timeout value by 1, using the WINS lookup tab in zone properties.
