Once you install the 828026 update for Windows Media Player URL script command behavior on Windows XP, every time that you visit the Windows Update Web site the 828026 update is detected and installed.
To fix this behavior:
1. Start / Run / Appwiz.cpl / OK.
2. Select Windows Media Player (KB828026) in the Add or Remove Programs dialog and press Remove.
3. Start / Run / rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection Uninstall 132 c:\windows\inf\wmp.inf / OK.
4. Shutdown and restart Windows XP.
5. Download and install Windows Media Player.
6. Download and install the 828026 update.
