Heroix and Aelita Add Support for ISA Server

Heroix Corporation and Aelita Software both recently announced the addition of support for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 to their product lines. Both companies' announcements followed Microsoft's recent release of ISA Server 2000.

Heroix added support to its RoboMon product—a popular network monitoring and management solution that helps detect and correct problems in products such as Microsoft Exchange, IIS, SQL Server, and Terminal Services, as well as Citrix, Oracle, Lotus Notes/Domino, Cisco hardware, and more.

"Heroix's ISA Server solution provides our customers with the ability to monitor for and prevent Denial of Service (DoS) attacks and other risks that plague today's eBusinesses," said Scott Krentzman, vice president of Marketing and Strategic Relationships for Heroix.

Heroix said that RoboMon collects information from ISA Server logs, and that users will be able to monitor for specific conditions that might indicate that an intrusion is under way. RoboMon can then notify administrators of the situation. The RoboMon ISA Server module costs $595. Detailed information about the product is available on the company's Web site.

Aelita Software's EventAdmin 5.1 monitors system activity through logs collected from Windows 2000 and Windows NT systems, Active Directory (AD), Exchange, IIS, Proxy Server, SQL Server, ISA Server, and Novell directory services.

"Our strategy is to create a true network intelligence center that provides visibility into all areas of network operations to support better decision making and improved security," said Ratmir Timashev, president and CEO of Aelita Software. "Our support for ISA Server demonstrates our commitment to extending this intelligence to Microsoft .NET Enterprise Server applications that are key to network security and performance."

Aelita said EventAdmin collects proxy and firewall log information from ISA Server to provide more than 60 reports about its activity. Similar to RoboMon in its monitoring features, you can configure EventAdmin to automatically notify administrators of specific events as they occur on the server. EventAdmin pricing starts at $325 per managed server and $20 per managed workstation.
