Effortless Management of Windows User Profiles

Entrigue Systems has released Script Start Professional 2.0, a user-profile management solution for enterprises. This version has many new features, including a new architecture in which the management console runs locally, which provides faster, easier-to-manage access compared to the Web-hosted model used previously. Other new features include the ability to backup and restore configurations and perform hardware and software inventories.

"Script Start Pro v2.0 is the culmination of several enhancements and features that make the solution even more ideal for enterprise-level organizations looking to seamlessly manage their virtual and physical desktops," said Jason E. Smith, vice president of Business Development for Entrigue Systems. "The installation of Script Start Professional is now very intuitive, allowing users to get up and running in a matter of minutes to automate Windows desktop configuration processes that lower costs of ownership from day one."

Script Start Professional 2.0 lets administrators manage, configure, and provision settings on Windows desktops, including Citrix Systems' Citrix XenDesktop and VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) virtual machines. Administrators can map drives, install printers, configure Microsoft Outlook and Messaging API (MAPI) profiles, modify environment variables, adjust Internet proxy settings, configure RDP connections, use RDP to publish applications, automatically customize client machines, and more. Most all popular server environments are supported, including Windows, Linux, Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise, Mac, and Solaris.

Script Start Professional is priced at $990 per domain server with the ability to manage all connected Windows desktops in the same domain. You can download a free 30-day evaluation copy from the Script Start Web site.
