DOJ Comes Down on Pirates

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) last week identified more than 100 people in the United States who have stolen over $50 million in music, movies, games, and PC software online. The massive investigation, dubbed "Operation Fastlink," involved Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) searches in 27 states and more than 200 computer seizures and was the largest operation of its kind. Despite the enormity of the crimes, however, no thieves have yet been arrested. Several are facing copyright infringement and conspiracy charges. The message here is clear: You can get away with stealing if you don't steal that much
