Antivirus maker GRISOFT has expanded its line of antivirus and antispam security products to include support for Linux and FreeBSD. The new products include AVG Anti-Virus Professional Edition 7.5 for Linux/FreeBSD, AVG Email Server Edition 7.5 for Linux/FreeBSD with integrated antispam support, and AVG File Server Edition 7.5 for Linux/FreeBSD. Specifically, the new products work on RedHat, Debian, and Mandriva versions of Linux.

The new offerings allow companies to use older PCs if they prefer. System requirements are as minimal as an Intel Pentium 200MHz processor with 256MB of RAM. A spokesperson for GRISOFT said that pricing for AVG Anti-Virus Professional Edition 7.5 is $28.95 per user. A license for AVG Email Server Edition 7.5 includes support for 50 email accounts and costs $530. AVG File Server Edition 7.5 is priced at $307 and includes 50 concurrent connections to the server. All the new package prices include a two-year license and free technical support.
