Q. My graphics driver keeps crashing and restarting. Why?
A. If you receive a message that the graphics driver crashed and was restarted, the first thing to check would be is there a newer driver available via the graphics manufacturers website. However, the GPU overheads could cause the GPU to cut-out and restart. This will surface in Windows as a driver crash and restart.
To check this, download GPU-Z, which works with nVidia, AMD and Intel graphics devices. It will show the temperature of the GPU via the Sensors tab. If you see a temperature around 80 C then it crashes then its simply overheating. Perhaps you have overclocked the GPU, or the airflow in your case is not sufficient. Also give the inside a good cleanout using an air-blaster so no dust is on the GPU, motherboard, fans etc.
Perform a search for your GPU as sometimes a newer driver can cause problems and you actually need to go back a version. If you have other good tips please place them in the comments!
