New Cell Phone Virus Spreads

A new cell-phone virus has antivirus researchers worried because its Trojan-horse payload can spread worldwide at tremendous speeds. Dubbed CommWarrior, the new virus attacks Symbian-based phones via wireless Bluetooth and Multimedia Message Service (MMS) connections. MMS-based virus attacks are comparable to email-based viruses on PCs, according to security experts, because they're so easy to transfer. CommWarrrior works by infecting the phone directory of afflicted cell phones, then sending copies of itself to users in the directory. It entices users with messages that resemble Symbian software updates or pornography. Hey, anyone who opens pornography on a cell phone is probably getting what they deserve, especially if they're driving at the time
