A. By default, scripts executed via Group Policy run in the background, so you can't see them execute. To view the script as it runs, you must modify the script's associated Group Policy Object (GPO). To do so, perform these steps:
- Open the GPO via Group Policy Editor (GPE).
- Navigate to User Configuration, Administrative Templates, System, Scripts.
- Double-click "Run logon scripts visible," as the figure shows.
- Select "Enabled" and click OK.
- Close GPE.
You should enable this functionality only for troubleshooting purposes; you don't want clients to see their scripts running because they might try to interfere with them. A better approach is to create a test organizational unit (OU), add an account, define the problem script in a GPO at that OU level, and enable visible scripts for only that OU.
