This speaker highlight is Tim De Keukelaere.

Tim's IT/Dev Connection sessions:

Recently, we asked Tim to give us a little information about himself. Here's what he shared:

ITDC: Give us a brief introduction to you.

Tim: I'm Tim DK, a consultant based in Belgium. My main area of expertise is workplace management and mobility. From a product perspective my main focus is on Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune. I have been helping customers design and implement systems management solutions for 15+ years now. Next to the design work I also love to be in the trenches, troubleshoot, and deliver trainings and workshops.

For many years now I have been active in the community. I love to present technical sessions at conferences and user group events. As a board member of the System Center User Group in Belgium I aim to provide people with a platform to share their knowledge and passion for technology.

This is my 3rd IT/Dev Connections as a speaker and I am really proud and honored to be part of this great event again. My goal for this edition is the same as before: to deliver great sessions and catch up with a lot of great people from the community.

ITDC: Describe the sessions you are presenting and why you feel the topic is important.

Tim: Looks like this will be a very busy week: together with 3 fellow Enterprise mobility MVP's I will be delivering a pre-conf workshop on the Enterprise Mobility Suite. Additionally, I will be delivering 3 sessions with my partner in crime, colleague and friend Kenny Buntinx. We will be delivering a session on upgrading Configuration Manager, a session on setting up a hybrid Configuration Manager infrastructure with Microsoft Intune, and a session on the new Configuration Manager servicing model. We are scheduled to present during each day of the conference so there is no excuse for you not to attend at least one of our sessions and Meet the Belgians.

ITDC: What should attendees expect to be able to take away from your sessions?

Tim: We love to share experiences and learn from our attendees as well. From us you can expect real world scenarios based on experience and situations we have encountered while working with these products at different customers. Also we love to hear what your issues and/or blind spots are and hopefully we will be able to point you into the right direction for resolving them.

ITDC: What is your primary reason to be excited about IT/Dev Connections?

Tim: I have so many reasons and I cannot rank them in order of priority. The conference format, the content, the location, the attendees, the speakers and the overall atmosphere are just great. This is one of the events that I am really looking forward to every year!

ITDC: What is the one key technology you believe is changing the technology industry right now?

Tim: The shift towards the cloud is definitely there and it involves a lot of different technologies. Personally I am very interested in the further evolution of hybrid setups where enterprises extend their on premise capabilities into the cloud.

ITDC: Assuming attendees want to know, what’s your favorite, non-technical hobby or pastime? What’s one thing that totally irks you.

Tim: I have a passion for fast and loud cars and I love to spend a few hours per week at the gym. Having to look up what "irks" meant is something that irks me. :-)
