SharePoint Agenda: Conferences, Conferences, Research: Week of May 5, 2014

Houston, Las Vegas, and Colorado, oh my

A happy Cinco de Mayo to all! We celebrated it yesterday, along with Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you). Anyway, the relentless high winds from last week skipped town—the last wave left Colorado Saturday and is probably playing now on the coast of Croatia. Whew! Now to refocus on SharePoint, technology, Office 365, and things Microsoft.

Microsoft TechEd 2014: We’re In!

Well, some of us are.

Our colleagues from Windows IT Pro and SQL Server Pro are heading to Microsoft TechEd next week: Paul Thurrott, Sean Deuby, Rod Trent, and Michael Otey, as well as editor Amy Eisenberg and writer Blair Greenwood.

Since SharePoint Conference 2014 was my must-have conference, I’m staying in Colorado to help the Houston-bound colleagues with any tweets, posts, and virtual errand running.

If you’re at Microsoft TechEd, say hello to the Windows IT Pro group—they’ll be based at booth 315 in the Lounge Area in Hall C.

And follow the Windows IT Pro Twitter handle for news and information from the conference floor.  Blair Greenwood will be reporting and tweeting from TechEd for SharePoint Pro, so follow her and SharePoint Pro too.

SharePoint Connections at IT/Dev Connections: Sessions Selected!

This year’s speakers list at IT/Dev Connections Conference in Las Vegas on Sept. 15-19 is looking fabulous. For starters, in SharePoint, we’ve got Scot Hillier and Dan Holme doing their pre-and post-conference workshops, respectively.  And Scot has selected a dream team of SharePoint experts to present sessions. (More about each of these talented individuals in coming days.) It’s shaping up to be a great conference—and did I mention it’s at the Aria this year?

Curious About…

This week, we’re researching such topics as DevOps, SharePoint/Office 365 app hosting, 3D printing, and SharePoint’s history.

If you have any favorite links or sites about these topics, comment below or flag us down on Twitter!

Hope you have a great week!
