Thirty-four of the best Office add-ins and apps of 2015 were honored at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando, Fla., this week, including several SharePoint-specific apps.
“In all, Microsoft judges considered 110-plus top productivity solutions culled from hundreds of candidates across the Office Store, Azure Marketplace, and the Windows Phone, Android and iTunes stores,” stated a post on the Office Blogs site. “To be eligible, solutions must have been published or updated this year, interact with Office data, sport high quality ratings and/or solid user evaluations, or meet certain other quantitative metrics.”

It was a tie in this category, with apps from both Kirkness Associates and Nintex taking high honors.
KasPerPro HR with Self Service helps organizations manage HR tasks by simplifying the management of employee information such as time-off requests and appraisals. The app offers a simple UI with context sensitive help, as well as email-based workflow.
Nintex Workflow for Office 365 enables customers to quickly generate workflow processes. It offers a drag-and-drop workflow designer, Azure-hosted service with single sign-on to Office 365 and integration with several external Web services.
Arvedia Rich Forms is a forms editors that enables the design of dynamic list forms with custom business logic.
