Comshare Expands Client Base

To expand its Latin American client base, Comshare appointed SSE Brazil as its new Brazilian distributor. SSE Brazil’s business consultant team resells and implements a complete range of Comshare products. With 82 percent of Latin American companies currently using Excel for planning and budgeting procedures, the region’s market is in its infancy, according to Karl McDermott, SSE Brazil partner. “\[Businesses\] realize the need to change the manner in which they capture, access, analyze, and share information. Consequently, there is a high demand for financial planning solutions.” “There is a huge opportunity to deliver Web-architected budgeting, reporting, and analysis solutions to Brazil’s leading organizations,” says Elaine Costa, SSE Brazil general manager. “We chose Comshare because it is the only company with a product … that fully supports the broad-based distribution and management of financial planning over the Web.” SSE Brazil has offices in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico, with regional affiliates in Guadalajara, Mexico; Central America; and the Caribbean. SSE Brazil focuses on companies with turnovers of more than $150 million.
