Working with shapes

To work with shapes, that is, to edit, move, resize, delete, or format shapes, you will need to make sure the Drawing toolbar is visible. Then you will follow the basic Windows workflow of "select then do." You will select the shape(s) you want to change, then make the change.

The "do" will most often be one of the following:

• A standard Windows mouse or keyboard shortcut, such as dragging to move an object.
• An option in the object's Format dialog box.
• A command available on the Draw menu or the shortcut (right-click) menu of the object.
