Understanding color schemes

The colors of a slide's background, text, title, fills, hyperlinks, and other elements are determined by the slide's color scheme. A color scheme is a set of eight colors: background, text and lines, shadow, title text, fill, accent, accent and hyperlink, and accent and followed hyperlink. The colors in a color scheme complement and contrast each other to create a balanced appearance for the elements of a slide.

Color scheme

You can modify existing color schemes to create new color schemes. Each design template or slide-title master pair can have up to 16 different color schemes.

You can apply different color schemes to various slides in your presentation to create visual interest or to enhance the message.
