Sound and video files are inserted as links, by default. This is to conserve the file size of your presentation, as sound and video files can be extremely large.
If you are going to give the presentation on another computer, be certain to use the Package for CD feature, in the File menu. This feature, discussed in Level 4, ensures that the presentation, all linked files, and embedded fonts are collected in one folder, which you can then copy to a CD-ROM or other media for transport to another computer.
When using sound and video files in a presentation, it is recommended that the files be saved on the hard disk of the local computer. Reading sound or video files from a CD-ROM or a network location can result in choppy playback.
