Kodak Abandons Traditional Cameras

If you still don't believe that the era of traditional film cameras is coming to an end, Kodak's latest move should be a wakeup call. The company has announced that it will discontinue selling traditional cameras in the United States, Canada, and Western Europe. The company will continue to sell disposable cameras and film but will devote most of its resources to digital products. Sales of digital cameras overtook sales of traditional film cameras in 2003. With the influx of inexpensive digital cameras and multiple photo-organization software applications, now is a good time to join the digital-imaging craze.
