JSI Tip 8243. When you log on to a domain through a NAT (Network Address Translation) server, it takes a very long time to get authenticated?

When you attempt to use a NAT server to log on to a domain, the Kerberos authentication protocol may revert to NTLM authentication, and it takes a very long time to become authenticated.

This behavior occurs because a NAT server does NOT translate netlogon packets.

To workaround this behavior, you must configure your network so that a domain controller is local to the clients.
