JSI Tip 7557. When you logon to Windows 2000, you receive a message similar to: 'Error at logon: Cannot find the file /idlist:0:1452,\\SERVERNAME\NETLOGON'?

In addition to the subject message, the NETLOGON folder may appear on your desktop.

This behavior will occur if the Logon script: box on the Profile tab of the user's Properties page in the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in contains a blank space.

NOTE: If this was caused by a script (DSADD or net user UserName /scriptpath:path /domain), correct your script.

To resolve this problem:

1. Start / Run / dsa.msc / OK.

2. Expand the domain name through the Users or Organizational Unit (OU) containter.

3. In the right-hand pane, double-click the appropriate user name, or right-click the appropriate user name and press Properties.

4. Select the Profile tab.

5. Delete the blank space in the Logon script: box.

6. Press Apply and OK.
